James Avery

Biography

After graduating from high school in Atlantic City James joined the Navy and served in the Vietnam War, from 1968 to 1969.  After, he settled in San Diego and wrote poetry and television scripts for PBS, winning an Emmy for production. He won a scholarship to the University of California at San Diego and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama and Literature.

Married to Barbara in 1989.

After working at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, he moved to Los Angeles and appeared in the television series.

He enjoys sailing, swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving.
